Purpose:

UAS pilots enter flight information in this form to gain approval from the aviation division to fly UAS missions.

The UDOT UAS Flight Approval Request application includes a Survey123 form, an FME application that runs a spatial query of the flight request area against different airspaces, sends emails of approvals or rejections in areas that are clear, provides a manual approval/rejection in the Approve UDOT UAS Flight Survey123 form when the flight is in Special Use Military Operation Areas, stores the data in this feature layer, and displays the flight areas in a web map. There is also the UAS Administrators feature layer and the UAS Administrators Survey123 form for managing who receives the emails and can manually approve flights.

If data was input by the pilot, the UAS Flight Approval Request FME automation runs the UAS_Webhook_To_Approval.fmw and UAS_Webhook_To_Approval_Failure_Email.fmw run.
